Elementary School

Quest

Coed, 9-10 years old

Is your young camper ready to take their summer camp experience to the next level? Quest is designed for elementary age campers who are looking for a first taste of the awesome adventure programs we offer! The perfect hybrid of on-site and off-site activities, Quest campers will enjoy our climbing tower and lake zipline before they head off for some real rock climbing at a local climbing area. To wrap up their action packed week, they will enjoy a relaxing paddleboarding trip!!

Middle School

Breakout

Coed, 11 years old (Rising 6th graders)

Breakout is a great first step into our adventure program! Rising 6th graders get to try their hands at rock climbing on our 40-foot tower, on-site camping, rafting down raging rapids and waterfall hopping in Pisgah National Forest. They also have a late night event on the Big Zipline. They truly get to "Breakout!" as they enter a new chapter of their lives!

Cascade

All Girls, 12-14 years old

Campers will enjoy a tubing float trip down a local river; explore Pisgah National Forest on a Waterfall Hopping day; try out Stand-Up Paddleboarding, and wind up a week of adventures with a Horseback Trail Ride.

Journey

All Girls, 12-14 years old

Journey takes the girls on a two-day backpacking trip, followed by a day of caving at Worley's Cave. After returning to camp and enjoying the adventure of our high ropes course, the girls will finish their week with a horseback riding and waterfall hopping trip. Take the Journey!

Leap

Coed, 12-14 years old

Come take the leap! This camp is all about taking a leap of faith. Campers will enjoy all of our ropes activities here at Camp Tekoa, such as our climbing tower and ziplines, and also experience a local Canopy Zip Line tour along with rock climbing. The week ends with exploring waterfalls in Pisgah National Forest.

Overboard

All Boys, 12-14 years old

This all boys camp will take adventure overboard! The week begins with an off site overnight fishing trip campout. Campers then get to canoe down river rapids, Stand Up Paddleboard on a local lake, and finish up with waterfall hopping in Pisgah National Forest. Go deeper this summer - jump Overboard!

MS Water Adventure

Coed, 12-14 years old

This water focused camp will include spending one day at camp enjoying all of the on-site water activities Tekoa has to offer. Campers will then head out for a paddleboard trip and cookout, followed by white water tubing and canoeing, and a day waterfall hopping in Pisgah National Forest.

MS Survivor

Coed, 12-14 years old

Campers live at a primitive campsite where they will learn to make fires and prepare food while engaging in group challenges and competitions in order to earn supplies and valuable equipment. The week culminates with a "final challenge" day on Friday. Campers get to learn teamwork, perseverance, and new skills as they have fun and grow in their faith!

High School

Blitz!

Coed, 14 years old (Rising 9th Graders)

Blitz! is designed to help campers transition to high school while challenging themselves! Campers will explore the depths of Worley's Cave in TN, climb our vertical playground, Stand-Up Paddleboard, go mountain biking, and rock climb at local areas.

Expedition

Coed, 14-17 years old

Expedition is designed to allow campers the opportunity to spend the entire week on a five-day/four-night excursion through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Campers will spend three-days/two-nights backpacking in Pisgah National Forest, followed by an overnight canoe trip to a campsite on beautiful Lake Jocassee. Expedition finishes with a caving trip through Worley's Cave in East Tennessee.

Ultimate Challenge

Coed, 14-17 years old

Ultimate Challenge is a non-stop, fun-filled week where high school campers participate in a variety of water, rock, rope and trail activities. The week begins with a rock-climbing trip followed by a three-day/two-night backpacking trip in Pisgah National Forest. Campers will then enjoy stand up paddle boarding.

HS Water Adventure

Coed, 14-17 years old

Campers start the week with an overnight trip to Lake Jocassee where they canoe to their campsite on an island. They will also whitewater canoe on river rapids, and spend one day whitewater rafting, while also learning valuable skills.

Expedition Extreme!

Coed, 15-17 years old, 2 weeks

2-Ex is a rigorous and high-paced 2-week adventure through Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. Campers will spend four-days/three-nights backpacking, one day rock climbing, one day mountain biking, and three days/ two nights canoeing and camping. The expeditions typically include a caving trip in Worley's Cave in East Tennessee, scuba diving in Lake Jocassee, and a day of horseback trail riding. Campers will be back in time to experience Tekoa's closing campfire and candlelight service with all the other campers. You must be a rising sophomore in high school to register for 2-Ex.
